Maybe it's your media? Kinda odd to have it happen twice..

I would contact your bomb squad rep, send it in, and see what the issue is. They probably want a log file too... Never had a problem like this before personally. Best of luck, and hopefully your Easter holiday improves!

ps what firmware are you on? did you try rolling back, or swapping out hardware spare parts? what was you diagnostic procedure specifically? the more data you give us/your rep the more likely someone can attempt to save the day for you sooner then later, ideally without having it serviced, but that might a necessary step, only your rep will know...

Same problem with two different cameras that most others on here have never seen would point to me that the cameras are most likely not the problem. You should in starting to trouble shoot check off the accessories that you have used with both camera to see that those are working properly. Contacting RED would be my next. You really should get in touch with RED ASAP. Happy Easter and Good Luck.

With the beta software I ran into this a few times with my BT Scarlet.
However instead of reformatting and starting from scratch I just left it alone.
Hours later the footage showed up fine in RCX.
Strange but thats only happened three times since recent beta install (3 months).

I've seen this sort of corruption on occasion. It's usually caused by faulty offloading of your camera files. Check your card reader(s) and the data cable(s) and interfaces, etc.. It can also happen at the camera with a faulty SSD module or connection, but that isn't as common.

I am tired to pay for a new camera and use it as used or buggy.....that's not how other companies make their profit!
I like to have a new car that drives everywhere without having to go to the mechanic every minute!
Wake up people....love is beautiful but not with the wrong person....she or he will burn you out.....just like how I feel....booooooooo

There are so many posts about those problems......not anymore a news I guess......but still on the market.....never had problems with old reds......those new ones are cheap quality.....cheap....very cheap!!!!

Mercello, I feel for you and your bad luck... But you do realize that issues like this are rare in comparison to the countless customers that have a proper functioning camera. I hope you have filed a ticket with support and the your luck improves.

I am sorry you are having issues. Contact your Bomb Squad rep and we'll fix it inside of a couple of days.

Jim

I'm glad your shift key is fixed. Perhaps your luck is improving.

I don't think they are made of cheap parts. We had a problem with our M when we received it, sent a log file to our bomb squad rep. They took it back and fixed it and returned it within 10 days ( we are in Europe).
Never had a problem since, and our Epic has been through hell and back on crazy locations. We got it summer of 2011, just saying

I have few job booked and now I have to cancel them and more it is not the first time....I had all year long same issues with my scarlet and now I thought upgrading it to Epic it was going to help me.... same problem back....I understand your love for Red...but please understand that people pay a lot of money to produce content and I don't want be anymore the guy who has the bad camera....with corrupted files.....at the moment I have two big arguments with two good clients about lost footage or corrupted! And I am risking to get sued by them.
I paid my money for a new camera that could me my work horse and not my weakness!!
Love red but when it works...

Sorry to hear this Marcello! I had not one single problem with my camera. Since you now had the same errors twice, do make double sure that if you are using something now, that you have been using on the scarlet before. Like battery plates, cable adapters, cables, redmags etc. Make sure it's not any of the accessories you are using! Strip the camera down to a bare minimum, power it up with the standard AC power adapter or maybe even test it with somebody else's power adapter and redmag. Lots of helpful redusers here from LA, so you should be fine.

Good luck! And since Jim answered, you have to know you're in good hands! Hope you get it resolved soon!
