  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Onboard mic

I have been struggling with this since day one of owning a Scarlet, and it persists as an annoying problem for me. The camera should have a scratch mic built into it already, but it doesn't, so many people have had to come up with their own methods. I cannot recall the model number, but a small external Olympus mic was recommended to me by a number of users as a viable scratch audio option, however when I used it the sound was absolutely terrible - as in I couldn't hear much of anything except noise. Any further recommendations would be helpful to me as well!

Most of the time I use my AudioTechnica AT4053b hypercardioid and it sounds good but it's not tiny. If that's busy on a boom or something, I'll use a Behringer C2, which is a condenser usually sold in matched pairs.
