How do you set up on set replay? Last time I used the Raptor you could not set In and Out points, loop replay, reverse replay or accelerate x2, x4 x8.
Those features are essential on my sets for clients to validate shots.
Have those features been added with the latest firmware, is it possible via the control app? Or are you feeding one SDI signal to a Blackmahic Video assist or Atomos to replay from the recorder?

Still nothing since release. Nothing updated in the beta firmware either. Maybe get your DIT to record the feed in livegrade for playback, or hook up ethernet to pull the proxies straight off camera for playback. BM video assist and Atomos works but both are tedious and lacking in much other than playback functionality compared to DSMC1/2 features.

It's one of those features I just really love about red dsmc2. set in/out loop playback and while doing it adjust the iso or what not. AC´s not used to red just stands there and scratch their beards when I do it and the clients just loves it. lol.

Apparently they will not implement this feature from DSMC2 because those in and out boys get embedded in the meta-data. I personally don’t care because I don’t use redcine-x. This is one of the reasons why I still use the DSMC2 to on food shoots.

Are you joking, they won't implement this feature because it gets embedded in meta data? Is that their excuse for not even having a loop playback and reverse playback function? Sounds like nonsense excuses.

If there is an approach to make the Menu easier please have an option for 2 different firmwares everyone could choose

- Light: easy to understand / default everything / just basic white balance, format and shutter

- Full DSMC2 style control: full control, playback options and full recording options (even if 1fps is niche, it’s still used!!!)
