I totally agree with you. It's just a confidence issue with some production companies.

I understand- but if you are wiping the drives in the morning, whats different than wiping them earlier on, provided of course you have made duplicate checksummed copies and played each clip back before deletion?

I realize I may be preaching to the choir, but I have yet to hear - and Ive heard from a lot of people since having written R3D Data Manager - a convincing argument that negates the above. Please dont think Im bashing you - but if the production company is that leery, they really should shoot film. BTW- R3D Data Manager satisfies most bond company and insurance requirements (provided you use the checksumming and at least duplicate backups). So if its good enough for them....

Sorry guys. I have a shoot tomorrow and I still need to know the advantage of R3D Media Manager over Clipfinder. Anybody used both?

They dont do the same thing. Both have a place in a proper workflow.
