  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

OMG, Sucker Punch Looks Amazing!!!

I love the scale of things in this. The monsters are huge, and the camera isn't flying around all willy nilly so you can get a real good look and sense of how small people are in this world.

Also, just fantastic editing in the trailer. I'm a sucker for visual match cuts, the metronome - plane- dragon sequence is outstanding. There are few more of these match cuts as well. Love em.

I'd say this is a good reason to see this movie...

Zombies, Nazis, Airships, Dragons, Girls in short skirts, Guns, Samurai, Film Noir, Space Ships, Ringed Planets, Moulin Rouge and Gangsters? ... You had me at Airships.

Trailer reminded me of the old Fifth Element trailer... 90s throwback electronica-ganza! Also comes close to breaking the "NO APOLLO 440" commandment that I remember being printed in large letters in the first edit bay I assisted in :)

It is also up against the old "no movie with a hot-air balloon or small-town parade sequence has ever been really good" rule - though I guess Up disproved it? But those were lots of little balloons.

I wish 'em luck... and will probably see it. I liked Watchmen, actually.

I just saw it on Blu-Ray projected on 1080p and found it a complete waste of time too.

It had some cool moments but without any 'glue' to keep them together it felt like a music video with a longer than usual duration. No characters to care about and awful actor direction didn't help either.

One thing I liked though was the amazing sound design!

When I consider what I would have been doing otherwise this movie was not a waste of time, it entertained me at the theater for however long it ran for. I probably will never watch it again unless the blu-ray has a lot of behind the scenes but I enjoyed it.

This is like the guys equivalent of a chick flick, through in a few pretty girls, a ok script, a bit of action and explosion and BOOM...

a chicks version obviously would have guys and romance etc. essentially I guess a channing tatum movie which I've had to sit through and find utterly pointless..

unfortunately this movie fails MASSIVELY on the script side, I just was not feeling it AT ALL...I could've done with watching this on Blu-Ray whilst doing some work or something, it wasn't something that deserved or actually gained my 100% attention...

Given isn't he also doing (rumored) the next Superman movie? So I hope that the script for that kind of lives up to the rest of the comic book stuff so far (minus the third spiderman), especially with the likes of Batman being from the same comic branch..it would need to be as epic...
Thor, Iron Man have been good so far, haven't seen Green Lantern yet but anyway... on topic...

This movie is a NOT TO BE SEEN IN CINEMA...classification...seriously not worth the time taken out of ones day, its not in cinema anymore which is good but still, I don't get how this stuff slips through...
