I just received my Helium Monochrome and I have a question about the OLPF. Is the standard OLPF the only one I should be using? obviously the low light optimized or the skin tone highlight OLPF are definitely geared to preserving color quality, but am I missing something? Do any of these OLPF help with a Monochrome image? skin tones, neutrals, contrast etc?

IMO skintone highlight OLPF helps tonality for skin on Monochrome, but you'll want to experiment with front of lens colour filtration anyhow to take the concept further.

The highlight OLPF is the only one that will completely get rid of olpf/sensor reflections (those little square patterns you may see if you look into the sun).
Not sure how it works in black and white though.

Thanks John, I have a set of yellow and orange filters that I was going to experiment for skin tones.
