Hi,

I´m thinking if it´s possible use some rare vintage lens like the Angenieux 12-240mm in the Raven because of the crop factor. What do you think?

Shouldn't be a problem as the lens is s35 and Raven sensor is a bit smaller. But getting a PL lens to EF might be tough.

also interested in this. have a old Angenieux 25-250 T3.2 PL. Its a cooke universal mount so think it can be converted quite easily to EF
ive been eyeing this lens too, hows the breathing?
if you have a short pl mount, 7mm or smaller you can use a pl to ef adapter.

Haridas, since your lens is made for S35 size sensors, it will certainly work if you can get it to EF mount. J.S., That Angenieux 12-240 lens is a S16 lens. Theoretically it won't cover Raven's sensor, but it might still be useable from the mid range (50mm) down. Won't know until someone tests it. Some folks use a doubler to make that lens a 24-480, and it covers S35. Not sure how to have a doubler and EF mount, but where there's a will, there's a way :)

Thanks, for all the answers. I will love to use some vintage old zoom lens on the Raven, the Angenieux 25-250 can be a good option!

The 12-240 is actually a lens made for standard 16mm. In 2K it will cover from about 55 or 60 to 240. Not the best choice for Raven. Get one of the 25-250 lenses and you will be much happier.

its not great, while arri master primes have zoom elements to reduce breathing, this lens feels like it has extra elements to increase it.

I shot a short using only this lens on my red 1 mx last year: https://vimeo.com/157418280 (password: info2016 )

For the Raven I'm unsure which way to adapt it, the cooke universal to EF adaptor, or for half the price, a PL to EF adaptor..
