  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Old Russian lenses

it pays to be patient and find a seller in the same country as you, i have doubles of all almost all my lenses now because i would order one from russia and then a few weeks later when its not here id find someone in the US selling it and buy that one too. But its all worth it, these lenses are beautiful, i just wish zeiss was producing lenses with this many iris blades back int he day! also, m42 i found is the only mount that can go from eos to pl mount so easily.
i found some enthusiast that will only buy 1971-72 serial numbers because they thought the factories has the best quality control in those years.
 
Oddly enough I just got given a Helio 44m2 out of the blue for free as someone gave me an old Zenit ESLR with it attached. It's one of the 'preset' versions that operates like the Jupiter 9 85mm. I'd not seen that on a Helios 44m before. Looks lovely on the Scarlet and the glass and focus are all grand but I'm already quite happy with my existing 44m4. Anyone fancy swapping or part-exing it for another lens, either funky Russian or decent old telephoto? Happy to throw in the Zenit if you want it :)
