Old MX Sensor used on Scarlet?

guess there are more than 1000s of red one returned to RED HQ for stage plans..what happened to those MX and M sensors?

I would consider that selling a used sensor in a new body is now really what Red would do, nor do I think it is probably legal or ethical.

In reality... you take in a used, unknown part... have a tech strip the sensor out, run it thru tests... what is the failure rate? The install the used sensor, unknow hours on it, unknown remaining life into a new piece of kit and sell it is not good process at all.

The Scarlet will get new, hot off the wafer, cooled gently on test bench sensors. Warranty issues alone make rehousing a used sensor a very non-viable plan.

And as of yet, there are no returned Stage III or Stage XXX cameras. The only announced and executed plan is Stage II and I get to keep my R1-MX.

that's not really happened yet. The stage two folks still have their R1 cameras. Stage 3 hasn't started yet. This is a silly post.
