Old Impero on the Epic???

This is one of those questions I can't seem to get a conclusive answer to. So something affirmative would be greatly appreciated.

I have an Impero follow Focus from my Red One/Birger configuration.

Is there any hope that this unit will ever control the Epic Canon mount or should I sell it and start over....

Sell and start over - Impero firmware would always be chasing a moving target if it could ever be made to work with Epic, and Red is working on their own control of Canon mounts.

Hmm. Maybe I spoke too soon - although this is essentially putting a Birger mount on an Epic rather than trying to control Red's Canon mount.

We have the Impero here, safely on a shelf at the Old Montreal location. I think we both forgot.

Birger mounts on Epic apparently are on the horizon.

What is taking so long?...

Canon's lens control is not open source... they have to figure it out and program the control from the ground up.

If you can do it any faster, please, by all means, give it a try...
