Hi guys,

does old 5.6 Red LCD (metal version) work with Scarlet/Epic? Or is not recommended?

How does it compare to Red Touchscreen?
What I am mainly looking for in a monitor is the color accuracy and ability to judge focus.

Thanks,
Kamilla

A DP6 monitor is a nice choice for focus.

I've been using the old 5.5" LCD on my Epic - I prefer it to the touchscreen. If you're using the LCD as your main method of monitoring the camera then you don't want to get it covered in fingerprints and the LCD monitor is lighter and easier to mount. It's also a bit less bulky than the new touchscreen.

If you are going to put an LCD on it, I would very very strongly recommend the touchscreen, it makes everything so much much easier.

Best of luck
