  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

OK... REDCINE-X time.

REALLY love the UI....great start gentleman!!

Press the H key to get a little help window.

that arrow you can click down will drop waveforms below the clip if you have clips that have audio.

Will a 1/1 option be added on the viewer window?
How about some sharpness/OLPF settings?

Even in this Alpha stage it is difficult not to like it though! :-)

look at the detail window for sharpness and a 1/1 loupe... you need to expand the window to see it.

Word! This is cool! Thanks very much!

Brilliant! Thanks! Now should I continue playing with this or go to sleep? Man the choice is tough! (I've got a long day tomorrow...)

Nice,

Digging the style sheets on the interface. Red is showing a kind of unified design concept across all of their products.

Also it immediately found a bunch of Redcode I had left on my harddrive, including some early tests I shot that I forgot about. Old and new coming together.

Keep up the good work.

This app has no Facebook or Twitter integration, wtf!?

Re: the UI. I think if you added some "creaking leather jacket" sound effects whenever the user drags a window it would really round out the theme.

I love it! The mouse-over preview on the thumbnails is tits.

Had one crash already, trying to drag clips on/off the timeline. I'll play some more and see if I can duplicate it.

I'm using it with RR. I like it very much.
I can take my rackmounted Mac Pro System with REDROCKET to shoot and provide immediate rough cut and baselight grading to the client.

Thinking wishfully, i'll be nice if REDCINE-X will be able to import/export XML, with handles. Rubber Monkey did great support in that already, maybe hire them for including that features in REDCINE-X?

Although we can imagine how RR will do great with FCP and Premiere Pro, actually seeing REDCINE-X being able to do baselight and edit cuts (although with limited features), I can see the glorious future in RED Empire. Who cares what Canon comes out with some cameras that are none motion RAW recording?
