Color can finally render out handles with R3d footage!
Thank you apple for saving me hours of work instead of the other way around!

Is it weird that we get so happy when they make software work the way it should have at launch? Oh well, i'm not complaining!

Good find Thom,

I didn't get to work too much on that yet.

yeah it's pretty incredible; maybe i should say color can finally render handles properly;

I just rendered out 12 frame handles on a few select shots that needed longer dissolves from what had already been round tripped to fcp. Color not only added the desired time extensions; but also kept the TC intact (used to only add handle length to the end of the clip and ruined time-code on the clip); and even though the new clip was now a second longer than what was in my fcp timeline; it re-linked both automatically and flawlessly without having to go thru the "reconnect media" utility. Upon further inspection it has also not offset my primary, secondary, shape, or P&S keyframes as it used to.

The only thing i haven't been able to do is add handles to a clip that was sent with speed changes from fcp in the first place.

Good things people, real good things!

Thanks for sharing...i did not get on this too.
I will install FCP 3 tomorrow... thanks god.
I hope have some happy discoveries too.

Cheers

Yeah the dark blues are still the week spot; but you'll be surprised once you render how clean they come out with the full debayer set; i've found i can push 2 stops over camera settings before even seeing any noticeable grain (in the renders, grading at half debayer i was a lil worried), 3 before it really starts to enter picture; good times!
