I've been looking for this bloody thread for a while! Thank you Jason for pointing me in the right direction.

Here are a few of my favorite stills I've taken over the years:

15 minutes from my place in the Finger Lakes (NY). Nikon D800, 70-200 AF-S, sorry about the color... not a pro and still trying to figure out the whole grading thing:

After 20yrs diving and getting to witness some of the most incredible sights there are underwater, to hang with all manner of predators and enigmatic sentient beings I now turn my attention to the insidious side of their respective fisheries. On a recent trip to the infamous fish market in the village of Tanjung Luar on the island of Lombok, Indonesia I grabbed these images of large sharks that were about to be processed for market. These and more can be seen in the planned documentary I've recently announced with the Pilot Film for the project, aptly named 'FINdonesia'.

Never an easy thing to stomach. The Manta Rays are also getting slammed for their gills and such is the indicator that sharks catches dwindling their wing tips being sold as shark fin! Crazy stuff.

Cheers,
Mark.

I was lucky enough to be on the first ever tourist expedition into the worlds largest cave back in August. It's called Hang Song Doong and is in the national park in the middle of Vietnam. If interested, feel free to read up about the trip on my blog simond83.blogspot.com. Otherwise, enjoy these rare shots :)

@Simon Dunne, love the lighting on the three people with the lights. Good stuff.

I've just started a new series of abstract stills... personal work. They're sort of architectural studies attempting to capture a sense of place, memory, solitude. Tabletop miniatures with 6"x12" plexi sheets.
