Official Music Video - Sonora

[Chris McKechnie]

Hey guys. A short while back I posted some frame grabs from a recent music production I got to be a part of and it's finally been released.

With an all-in production budget of only $12k, we shot this over 3.5 days and had a tiny crew. Shot on the Helium 8K with vintage Lomo Sphericals.

I did the final grade within FCPX/Color Finale and used PhilmColor and Phil's amazing LUTS!

Hope you guys enjoy!

Looks great chris. My nephew, david ace, was on that project and was telling me all about it. Nice work.

Looks great Chris! Any filtration? Almost looks like some vintage fog filters there (during laundry, for example)!

Thanks dude! No filtration other than the Nisi IRND line. During the Laundry scene, I used the 28mm Lomo Spherical (this lens has a lot of halation, which is great for adding atmosphere sometimes), so we went with it since the laundry room was lacking something. The typical bread and butter lenses used on the piece was the 35,50 and 75mm focal lengths, again, Lomo Sphericals which I absolutely love.

I added Gorilla Grain in post, and went with a less saturated look per the director's request.
