  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

OFFHOLLYWOOD'S first Red Feature Film & more!

Just got word from Rania, the director of Asylum Seekers, that she completed a 60 second trailer and 2 minute teaser for the film and given the blessing for release on REDUSER.

We'll grade the teaser a bit next week and slam it up here with a full update on the project (they are close to locking picture and starting sound design, etc.) -

Oh ... did I mention we had this WHACKY idea to do a midnight screening in Vegas during NAB ...

I'm gonna watch the latest cut as soon as I get back - see how is plays - I know how it LOOKS and it looks GREAT - very curious to see how the edited film plays - it is a VERY strange and stylized film - very "David Lynchy"

Hey Mark,

Can you quickly list how many services and for what duration/what level/what quality, etc Offhollywood provided for this film? I assume they'll be grading in your Scratch suite. Are you providing all the technical aspects from end to end? My mouth still waters at that figure you had provided once of full DI work for 10 days and film out for about 80K, are those projections still holding?

If we do it - we will scoop it here and do it for REDUSERS - by the way randomfactor - I am in London at this very moment - sitting in the airport waiting for my connecting flight back to NYC!

Damn! - It would've been cool to meet up :) - I'm going to NAB for sure this April. NYC is likely at some point too!

We are getting 2 Red ones & just did a deal with Nacho for a full Scratch seat a few weeks ago.

PM me for prices - we are officially in construction (well ... destruction first - they are demo-ing the floor for us next week) on our new facility - many new services and prices. All good.

Yes, I wonder what the budget was. I e-mailed the link to a producer I have worked with on a few HVX-200 things and finally he seems to see the difference!! Of course this guy has no budgets but maybe if he trys hard enough he can see the light!!

Just found out that the 1st AD on that is on this production as well, Toe to Toe

Toe to Toe is the third "all RED" feature that Offhollywood is supporting with Red cameras and post services.

Simultaneously, our fourth feature on RED, Mystery Team, is shooting in NH.

Both Aslyum Seekers (finshed 11 days of Scratch color grading just last week) and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead
(begins color grading in two weeks) are trying for world premiers at the 2008 Toronto Film Festival - http://www.tiff08.ca/default.aspx

I would expect Toe To Toe and Mystery Team to both make the 2009 Sundance submission deadline.
