OFFHOLLYWOOD HOTLINK HELP!!

Bought a hotlink on here some time ago. Was working for a few months and was happily pulling focus with it. I no longer get a blue light when it's plugged in. Took it apart and nothing was scorched. This happen to anyone else?

[Only posting this after having tried another power cable and still no blue light.] :frown5:

The same happened to me couple of years ago, got this reply from Mark at Offhollywood:
"If the blue LED does not light up we will need to replace your PCB. It's very simple - one connector and two screws"

My hotlink was under warranty that time and Mark sent me a replacement PCB super fast, like two days from US to Finland. You could always try and ask if they still carry some replacement parts, otherwise I'm afraid you'll need to source an other used one.

Same thing happened to mine. I sent it in and it was up in running in about a week. Their customer service was top notch. I cant remember how much it costs, but it was extremely reasonable.

Hoping Mark L. Pederson—or someone who can get in touch with him on my behalf—sees this. I have perhaps the same issue with my Hotlink (no power, no blue light) as the other posters in this thread. Have been away from the forum so long I didn't even realize that Mark is no longer in business as "Offhollywood"!

Mark, I've left you a PM and another quick message in the Komodo drawing thread where you were apparently most recently active here. Sorry for the "SOS" feel of these efforts, but I'd really like to get my Hotlink working again and have no idea how to contact you other than this forum since the website is gone and the email address I used for you when I bought the Hotlink in 2014 no longer works.

I might recommend trying to contact Teradek, as that’s your nearest fit for service / repair / replace, and where Offhollywood went after the Vitec group acquisition of OH.

Hi Dan,

Thanks so much for that info. I had located info relating to the Vitec acquisition of Offhollywood and the "Creative Solutions" location in Brooklyn where it seemed Mark went afterward, but there was only an outdated facebook page and a phone number for that office that no one answered as of yesterday. I will give Teradek a try.

Online info indicates they are headquartered in California. Did Mark relocate out there to your knowledge or is there a NY office?
