  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ODEMAX - where is the info?

You are right of course. No reason to talk to potetial customers like me.
:)

You are one in a million, my friend.... At least that is what I expect the customer base will swell to over time. '-)

You sort of a need them all at the same time more or less. But you really need the Redray first along with the RRENCODER. You could distribute content and playback without Odemax. But hey Odemax by itself, that's pretty much useless. But let's give them a break, all of them. Looks like everything will be released very soon. It is inappropriate to ask Red a when question. History has shown any answer for a variety of reasons, some of which are subjectively good and others subjectively bad, to be a waste of bandwidth. And you need to be press even to ask. Let's just all think soon. Remember initial Redray production will be small giving a lot more time for refinement. Red has said they beat Sony by being the first. This a a major marketing ploy by them and it makes so many here feel so good even though Sony supplied 4K panel owners with a loaded server for 4K. The Sony $599 server is coming very soon although their distribution network is still about 4 months off giving Red/Odemax enough time to really be first with a complete system. And being first is the only thing that counts even though the server will cost over two to three times as much as the Sony. To reach a lot of customer with shot on Red or other shot 4K material will require pricing of a consumer Redray to be competitive with Sony and several major studios will have to be willing to distribute to consumers via Odemax or some competing service. Sony would likely win any server and distribution war.
