Odd Flares in Scarlet Footage

We are a small college in rural Wyoming and on our first class shoot with our new red scarlet camera the footage came back looking like this. I haven't ever seen flares like this and wondered if anyone has any ideas as to the cause?

What is in front of the sensor?

Thats the sensor reflecting.

It's not noticeable when the iris is opened up. You need to put NDs on there to get the aperture in the f5 range.

Scott,

They cannot remember if it was a Canon EF 50m 1.8 II Lens, or the EF -S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens.
