Hi,

Selling my lovely 1030 O'connor fluid head with carbon fiber 35L legs.

Head is working fine but to get optimal '' like new '' performance, I would suggest to send it for normal maintenance and replacing rosettes. ( head doesn't '' spin '' by itself while setting at 0 pan drag, rosette are worn but still work). Rosettes are available to purchase alone and replacable by anybody who can hold and allen key and 1/8 punch.

Otherwise, everthing work fine. Some ding and marks here and there.. like every head like that. come with a pan arm and a brand new OEM plate.

Legs are great, they work fine, very lightweight, quickest one hand legs setup. you can place spreader in 2 positions and spread it.. but you already know the 35L right ?

Tripod comes with Tuffpak, perfect for shipping.

I got the same 35L sticks with my 1030 and it's the best sticks I ever owned. One man band type of sticks. And the 1030B will last forever with little mantaince. Good luck with the sale!

Is this a 1030 or 1030B head? I could never figure out what the difference was...I own this same setup and I love it.

You literally push a button and all 3 legs can be lowered and heightened as quick as that. No need for help from your AC or 2nd AC. It's great for run and gun shooting or docs. Only downside is how lower the sticks can go. It's not a killer, but not the best. 30L is the new standard, they don't do the fancy stuff the 35l does but is more expected for rentals. Doesn't mean renters don't like it. Everyone loves my 35L when they rent it, you just have to teach people how to use it. They don't make the 35L anymore so their hard to pass up when they hit the market once in a while.

That is the best set of sticks/head I have ever owned. This older 35L is way better than the 30L legs to me because it is so easy to raise and lower as a one man setup. I'd buy this setup as a backup if I could. I guess OConnor went to the newer 30L design because it is simpler and a little less parts / maintenance. I am probably 4 times faster with the 35L over the 30L.
This is an awesome size for Epic, Scarlet, and even DSLR if you are adding bigger lenses, matteboxes, monitors. If I am run-n-gun, it holds my Red One fine with a 10 lb zoom but I'm pushing the limits with that.
Whoever buys it will be very happy. Funny - I have never seen the 35L for sale because the owners never want to part with them.
I'm tempted to offer some HMIs for trade, but I already have a 1030 (with 35L) and 2060.
