Hi,

I bought a used OConnor 10-30 Ultimate (as far as I know this is the first version of the 1030 Ultimate)
It's smooth as glass and really nice.
But I have a problem with the pan lock knob. When I apply the pan lock and then release it again the pan will be really jerky and grindy - it feels as if there is sand in the ball bearing.
After some "exercise" the head is back to normal, but will be grindy again when I lock the pan.

I'm guessing the pan lock knob is not completely releasing

Does anyone have any experience with this or advice?

Isak

Send it to O'Connor they will do a great job of repair and getting her to feel butter smooth. I can't see where you are located but I send all of my heads
O'Connor Burbank.
