  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

O-Focus DM Vs Arri MFF-2

Yes it is possible BUT will only work with very large barrel diameter lenses. Due to the vertical height difference between the LWS and Studio rod standards it is best to use an adapter such as the AB-1519 to position the O-Focus higher up from the studio rods ( i.e. where it would be positioned if it was still being supported by the LWS rods. )

Thanks. Do you have a part number for the hand crank?

The keyway on both types of handwheels is industry standard. Most any crank or whip from 3rd party manufacturers will work. There are lots of them out there and the prices start at about $20 and go up from there.

The two follow focuses are really for two different styles of shooting. Pick which onc is most comfortable to you.

If you want to reverse the direction of Nikon lenses with an O-Focus, Duclos make a universal reversing gear which clamps to the rods.

I got rid of my MFF1 and got the ofocus, very happy with it. i feel like I get a bit more for my money. but they are both great. the photo gear really helps out a lot IMO with EOS glass. I do like the simplicity of the arri though.

Hi everybody, my Q: is, will it work on the RED ONE 19mm rod system which is 104mm center to center?

I had Arri Mff-2 and there was a lot of play for a $1700 + follow focus. My new Ofocus is perfect in every way.
