Now that the Scarlet-X is in the wild, I had a question...

[Gary Paul Walker]

In the old days of the fixed 2/3 Scarlet, there was talk of the mysterious feature #21...

Was it 'announced' what that feature was / is?

[Stefan Antonescu]

I think that even the guys at RED forgot about that...

#21 "Full Autofocus on fixed lense."

#21 "Full Autofocus on fixed lense."

Ah many thanks!! Wherever you found that, you have better command of the search facility than I!

[Patrick Grossien]

Jim - or was it jarred? - once posted that they forgot about what it was.

21 was never a surprise - it was a mistake which turned into a joke which turned into a huge deal on the forum.

I remember reading a post from Jim saying 21 was accidentally left off the list, so instead of renumbering everything after it on the list he jokingly added "21. surprise" and it just caught fire on the forum.
Then when HDRx was announced for Scarlet, he said 21 was HDRx, probably just to kill the topic.

But don't take my word for it, I could have dreamt this whole thing.
