  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The RED PRO LCD begins shipping today. We will fulfill backorders in order of camera delivery date (our standard backorder fulfillment policy) and you will get an email from Brian Byrne here in the BOMB SQUAD when your RED PRO LCD is ready for delivery.

You probably can change it, but it could be a while before they catch up with backorders. How long it will be before you get yours depends on how many they have available and how many camera owners have them on backorder.
 
Not sure if this is answerable, Brent, but is there a time GUESStimate of getting through the backorders? Maybe even a "Our recently received stock is a quarter of the backorder."

I wonder where I am in the backorder.

I would be interested to know that as well- my Red does not ship until November, but I sure would like to get the 7" instead of the 5.6" I have on order....
 
What is the estimated delivery date for orders on the 7" Pro LCD that have not yet been placed. If someone orders this week, would it be a few weeks or a few months before delivery. Did Red get a BIG shipment in excess of backorders or just enough to start filling backorders?

Just to let everyone know, I got my email for my backorder last Friday, a mere 2 hours after I made that last post. I don't know where I was in line, but I don't think I was up front.

Also, I'm sure Red will change those orders. I changed my order from the 5" to 7". Just contact your bomb squad rep.

If it helps you GUESStimate, my LCD was shipped out yesterday. RED#561
 
If your 5.6" RED LCD has not been delivered yet, you can switch your order to a 7" RED PRO LCD, for sure.

As far as a guesstimate, this won't be like the EVF will a long backorder period now that we have started shipping. We should be talking in weeks here, not in months and months....

I got mine today! It is an absolute beauty! The viewing angle is so much better than on the small one. It's big, bright, great viewing angle, light and displays all the info. I don't think you can do better with an onboard monitor than this. Now if your Assistant misses focus you have something to yell about....

Congrats Red team for this wonderful addition.
