  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Umm haha I ordered on the 2nd, paid on the 5th and still haven't heard anything. Getting super insecure about my order.

Just got off the phone with the bomb squad rep. Funds have cleared. No Tracking info yet, but it sounds like they are shipping a butt load of BT R1s at this time since he couldn't put a date on shipping. I ordered 11/9

I've never been more excited to spend this much money all at one time I don't think. Hah!
 
Got my allocation today too. From 11/9, waiting months in line for a 2.5k promise to expecting FedEx and a 4k gift. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and he wears the color RED. Thanks Jim and Jannard for making this a reality for so many of the new breed of hands-on filmmakers and giving me a second wind.

I promise not to shoot anyone's eye out. Carpe Diem baby!
 
628 Hours!,,, And she's a beauty!,,, I'm so effing stoked. Stoked to have such a beauty of a camera...with such low hours... Blessed.
 
Update: Ordered R1 on Nov. 5th, received allocation Tuesday, and was given a shipping tracking number today. Will post hours and photos just as soon as she arrives Friday morning. It's going to be a very RED Christmas for us this year!

Picked her up this morning from RED HQ (cool place!) from Bomb Squad Rep NICK, awesome guys! I was so happy that I opened the box in the parking lot, but its about 3 boxes till you get to the camera body so I just decided to wait after the 2nd box (not knowing how many more there would be haha
Camera is in 8/10 cosmetic condition
Only has 428hrs
I quickly realized that I have A LOT to learn about the camera after years of shooting professionally on DSLRs that I knew very well.

I would envy you but mine arrives in a few hours...I'll be posting some pics of my initial, semi-temporary rig!
 
I do now beleave in Santa Claus !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just receave my tracking number, will arrive monday 17/12/2012....

Also buyed some cables and wingnuts, but don´t know if they come toghether, The shipping wight is 9,5kd, so I suposed the cables are there too, also have the AC power adapter...

Can someone who already have receaved it or waiting to receved in the next days confirm the shipping weight?

#10148 all rigged up and looking pretty. Only had 206 hours, no scratches or marks, and runs beautifully.
 
Bought through a friend, he said nothing changed yet. No allocation call, or change in status... ordered 11/7. Hope it changes soon or I'm going bonkers too! lol

I ordered with my card and funds were just taken out two days ago. I believe they only charge you once it's ready to ship, not right after ordering, unless you use money transfer. I just checked my order status and it changed to "invoiced". 11/6
