  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Now it begins. Red BT shipping

I'm picking it up from Red in Irvine and he said 2-3 days till its ready.

Not yet, i ordered about 10 hours after you did (assuming you ordered in the PM). Hopefully i get my allocation tomorrow. Keep us updated on condition and hours

Remember the 2-3 week allocation was an estimate.

Hey Michael,

Just wanted to check in on things. I ordered on 11/2 and haven't received an allocation yet. But it seems like others who ordered after me have been allocated? Hoping I didn't get lost in the shuffle.

The waiting is always the most difficult. Red has always been on top the correct que. I was wondering about serial numbers. Are they retained from the original or will they start over. If they retain, whomever gets 1760, my traded in Red One, gets a practically unused, new camera.

Yeah, waiting is tough but I'm not feeling impatient (yet). But I read some people who bought on 11/5 were allocated, so I wasn't sure what was up. These R1s seem to be stamped "Battle Tested" on the bottom plate and they start at serial# 10,000... It seems. So they won't be traceable to previous owners. (That would be quite amazing though if I ended up with your 1760!)

Really looking forward to ownership! Looking forward to a full year of shooting in 2013. :)
 
James did you pay on the 4th too? I ordered mine on the 2nd and Bomb Squad got in touch with the wire transfer details a few days later, so I paid on the 5th.

:@ lewis, Nope I ordered on the 4th but they did not take the money out of my account until the 14th. I asked did that mean I was in the late orders but Bomb squad rep told me that no they judged it on order times not payment times. So I was in the 4th and still waiting on allocation.

If what counts is the date of oeder, then I ordered mine (the date is in "my orders" on my account on red page) in 02/11/2012 from red europe, the payment was after by bank tranfer, but don´t know any news...
 
Okay, well, it sounds like the allocations aren't in any order. So it's not like we've been lost in the shuffle.

I'm sure we'll all see ours allocated before the first of the year. Just have to sit tight and wait for word from our bomb squad reps.
 
I was told by my bomb squad rep that they were given word last week that all the orders should be allocated within 10 business days.. The thing that might be throwing you guys off about when and who the allocations are given is the location of the buyer. Red Europe may be on different times than Red in North America. Or if preference was given to those with accounts with red previous to the sale of the BT RedOne M-X. I'm in North America so my bomb squad rep may have just told me the US allocation time but I'd be looking out for the email in the next week or so if I were you.

I'm well over the 3 week wait, it's beginning to suck. I ordered on the 14th of last month.
 
I think I am going to be the last camera out! I made the deadline to buy a few hours before they ran out of stock or pulled it off line. Hopefully I will get allocation before our next production day! By the time I get this camera there will be peace in the middle east....ok, maybe not
 
Is everyone getting tracking numbers with their camera's shipment? Or are they just showing up on the door step?

Was allocated last night, received tracking # today. I think it depends on the bomb squad rep.

Just got notified that my R1 M-X has been allocated. Now just waiting on shipping information. Hope everyone else's gets to them soon so we can stop posting and reading this thread and start shooting really wonderful looking footage. on a side not I've been checking this thread 1 to 2 times a day for the last 3 weeks. it's going to feel weird coming to this forum and not checking. Oh well I guess my R1 will be enough to console me through the loss. ordered mine on 11/05/12 19:28.
