The sliding baseplate on the bottom is the same for both the 19mm and 15mm bridges. That's the proper nomenclature by the way; the top parts are called bridges and the bottoms are called sliding baseplates (the top being the "bridge" between the camera and the base). Arri makes them as do several other manufacturers, and we have various models for sale. The standard size is about 11 inches, but to balance very long or heavy lenses one often needs 18" or even 24" sliding baseplates.

Kinda off topic but related to crazy rod configs.....

Here is the most obsolete configuration ever but pimp at the sametime. It took forever to get this together but I want to shake the Dp's hand who orders this set up...

I've done that setup WAY more times than I'd like to. FU$%!G hate that setup. Try doing that on a feature shoot with practical houses, and cars. God I hated that job. 3 sets of GDAMN rods and almost 6 feet long with a mattebox.

Wow, this setup is crazy ) You should wear a helmet as AC, or the lens will hit you at a fast pan I´m sure it´s a handheld configuration
