  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I know this question will annoy some of you, so I apologize!

I just wanted to hear some educated guesses from my fellow users in regards to my order and when it may arrive.

I ordered a canon mount on November 8th and have all the money in the account. I have a scary SO# of 0053179.

Am I realistic in hoping I will shoot with my own Scarlet in 2012???
 
The SO# only serves to ID the order in the system. It has no bearing on the delivery date. AFAIK
 
I would think you will be shooting well ahead of the end of this year, things seem to be moving pretty quickly now based on a large number of allocation notices this week. The order numbers also include accessory orders, many of which have been filled already (my two accessory orders 054787 and 055079 included). Our order # 051687 was just allocated yesterday along with what looks like about 200 others.

Not at all trying to flame, but this topic might be better posted on "The List Please Maintain" thread rather than a separate one. Many new users are trying to get technical help and it is already pretty hard to sift through so many threads. Good luck and good shooting!

Hey Ryan, glad you took the comment in good spirit and you post was not a mistake at all... we have been on the receiving end of some harsh replies from some of our early posts. I guess it must be a bit of a "Right of Passage" being new to the forum. I didn't mean at all to make you feel bad :smile5: I have a second Scarlet order we squeezed into the end of the year to beat the price increase and am anxious to get that one soon as well!!!

Ryan - I ordered on Nov 7 and I am SO# 2959. I'll admit to being a bit of an optimist on these matters but, I have been watching the emails about allocations and things are moving pretty well. I think that, after the first night's crush of orders, many of the SO's were due to add-on accessories. So, to me, it looks like we are jumping ahead in SO's pretty quickly. I have much of my package already shipped (batteries, LCD, REDmags, charger, RED station) and my REDMote was recently allocated. All I am missing is the Sidehandle and the Scarlet brain. I have been hoping I'd get the camera in the first half of February, which could still happen (allocation, at least) but I am very optimistic I'll see it before March. You probably won't be very far behind me. We'll see.
 
Ryan, thanks for posting. I haven't read the "list" thread yet and the title of yours caught my eye.
 
I don't know I feel about all of this OPTIMISM oozing from the forum today... are you guys feeling ok?
 
Hahaha...I'm still skeptical Jared. Got to play with one today and I am even more impressed and excited about my purchase!
