  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

November 3rd...

Huge congratulations to the RED team - another goal soon to be rectified, and I'm sure you will all be just as thrilled to post and discuss the announcement as we will be to read it! September really has been a busy month at RED.

I can't wait to see what you guys have up your collective sleeve! November 3rd can't come soon enough.

We love nothing more than a heads up competition. A fist fight. Specs to specs. Camera to camera. We live for this.

November 3rd. UFC. "It's TIME"".

I don't think its going to be a fair fight, even though your fighting an 800 pound gorilla.
Should we call PETA if you beat em up too bad?

HA! Goodluck Canon!

As a consumer I love this competition though , thanks RED for instigating the kick in the arse the industry needed. Much respect.

Scarlet is just about to burst out of Jim...

The others are trying to keep him from telling any more before 11/03/11!

Excellent news, thanks Jim and all the team. Looking forward to seeing what RED has up it sleeve on November 3rd.

Lol shows this difference in optimism comparing RED's customers to Canon's:

"Last time Canon made a big announcement with trailer like this one it was a photocopier, so… I wouldn’t count or anything important."

Since the age of nine I wanted to make films through the film by Terry Gilliam (Brazil) I was bad with my films dv cameras etc ... the day of the red one is the left I were entranced by the beauty but also young and without money I could only watch the footage worse this dream of having a red in my life was put aside too expensive for me at the moment bad happened that day when you spoke of the Epic of worse-S Scarlet atendre I was there as he left many people worse it took time much worse time decided to buy my equipment to make the video. But since the announcement that Jim Scarlet soon to be next on the list I sold all my equipment that I had bought three months ago. I had a Canon 7D with 24-70mm, 35mm, cinema redrock bundle etc. Now I know I'm going to come out a happy man. Red is the largest camera company in the world and finally my dream will come true Thank you thank you Jim Red thank you for your hard work ^ ^ My dream is now about to be real ^ ^

Sorry for my English

I'm really really hoping the Scarlet will be shipping right after the announcement. My daughter is due to be born around Nov. 6. I'd give anything to document her birth with a Scarlet. I'll be selling everything that isn't baby related in my house to have some money ready for that day.

I'm excited that Scarlet is to be announced. Finally!!!!!!! I will finally decide where my hard earned money goes.

Jim, can't stand this list crap. If people disagree with you or bet against you, who cares? You have a bunch of passionate users, no need to be so vindictive. I have to admit that I would like to buy Red products and I'm glad there was someone like you to change the industry but this whole "you are with us or against us" crap feels like second grade and I want to root for the other guy.

I have a feeling that the refresh on the site will be like the tonight thread.. I will get my fingers and mouse ready! And my payment!
