  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The start of a "revolution" but not understood by everyone.

I've prepared my workflow with some R3D files found over the net ... and I'm already blown away by your technical choices -> I can easily edit a 2k movie on my old macbook (new MB Pro is coming). Scarlet will be my next girlfriend :calm:

A sign that don't lie : you've gave me back the envy to shoot (that I've lost with the poor video quality since today).

I'll make some great video clips for my band ... THX.

Jim I have a suggestion. Why not consder holding a webinar? That way we could get a more "human presentation" of what's to come. It would certainly be exciting, and I'm willing to bet you already have all the equipment you need to set it up over there. There's lots of talented RED owners in the area.

I dunno, I'm just thinking it would be more interactive, and fun. You could give a cool presentation along with everyone else, and Jarred could do his famous Naked Hula Dance. It would be like Vegas all over again!

Not 100%. Come on Red, stop holding back on us.

R1 owners stop worrying. Even if they release a sub $6,000 R1 equivalent I'm sure there's no possible way they leave you guys out in the cold. It would be a bad PR move to shaft your loyal early adopters and I don't see them treating you guys like that. You'll be compensated if need be. I guess.

Another guess is that the earth shattering announcements will be the price/performance of Scarlet and the power/technology of Epic.

I confess that I'm puzzled by this statement. I've never known this pack of hungry RED-usin' wolves to be afraid to ask for anything. We make all sorts of ridiculous demands daily.

Now, what is it that were you saying about that revolutionary affordable 2K/4K delivery system...?

I hope that new RED Scarlet 3K will have some thing such that a very common man will be able to afford it..... i.e. its price along with its qualities...

Thats what I care about. Delivery, playback, post applications, and viewing are all tied for second place.

I don't particularly care what Scarlet is, I might in a few days, but right now I don't. I just want to Ride an Epic "Dr. Strangelove style."

1 - 120fps + 5 secs. of 180fps would cover 97+ % of my technical\artistic needs.

Call me whatever you want.

And let's not forget that the 180 fps clip can be converted to a nearly 360 fps clip with the right kind of software.
