Maybe its just me but i don't remember a day where there was some many important releases I have now just heard that Avid is now added to the list So now thats Canon, Red, Avid. Any way you put it ill be broke the next day after the scarlet is up purchase. :yesnod:

I think that Avid decided to release Media composer 6 apparently it can do up 28K. this increase in resolution on Nov3rd by the masses people may not want to finish in 1080P. I am a die hard avid fan i really hate final cut and premiere is just to odd for me. Plus Avid is going to start supporting AJA cards, Decklink cards, for capture, output and preview along with Matrox.

Maybe Avid will explain how they keep losing money and lagging behind in features - although I suppose they may have also sacked their spokesman.

They have the pro market all to themselves now - their ineptitude staggers me.

I agree that they have been slacking of features, but its the most stable system and much more functinal then fcp most people have left fcp now days gone back to premiere or something. MC6 will be 64bit too finally i can use up more of the 32gbs or ram i have sitting here...smh

Well, its a day off, but Viewfactor has announced this for their long-awaited wireless follow focus:

10/26/11: Final boards for Receiver/Controller due in Nov 2nd..

Bah! 2 of these launches will be worthwhile. Avid will give us more of the same old 90's NLE dressed up as 21st century editing solution. Did someone mention stability Avid by far is the least stable of the big 3 NLE's. Sure the FCP X situation is a deplorable but all Apple has done is treat the editing community with same arrogance Avid has been displaying to the editing community for the last 15 years. Maybe that's why they keep losing money or maybe they can't get over the fact they can no longer charge outrageous prices for their software. Avid if you want the post community to listen get over the arrogance because your software for the last 10 years has been less than innovative unlike the company which hosts this forum .

Rant over.
