I'm expecting Nov. 3rd to be the biggest announcement in the history of RED.

Jim

With this statement, add more 15 000 people (conservative number) coming here...

So Nov. 3rd will be awesome..
How will the announcment be delivered? I guess reduser.net will be alight with people hitting the 'refresh' button every 0.02 seconds - but have you considered a live-streaming launch? It would be great to see

REDCODE is worth more than gold. You guys knew it was key and it makes .R3D video timeless no matter how you slice it.

Its great, no more horrible 1080i60, 1080i60 24p wrapper, 1440x1080, true 24p, etc.

Not to mention Cine-X Pro

=)

I know everyone has had a hard time making 4k except for one company.

And with FCP in the toilet now ProRes is not as cool as it once was

I am so scared, I just ordered another Epic-M body...

Don't be. I'm ordering an Epic X and if I had the money would have done the same. The Epics are still the top of the line Red Product. With modularity and Red's commitment to upgrade, I can only see November 3rd announcements to be a big win to both the Scarleteers and Epic users. Red will definitely be taking care of you and not making your investment obsolete. I would in fact be looking even more forward to the M!

Join Date 2009 seems a while ago - being part of RED 3 Nov l truly hope!

In that time Ive had a Sony EX1 EX1R and Canon FX305 now on to a Sony FS100, love the new large sensor for shooting (all down to RED and Canon), so hoping and wanting RED to
provide a camera in the $8000-$13000 range to surpass the FS100. Nobody outside RED knows the form factor of Scarlet, very exciting times.

So Scarlet is better than EPIC ?... I thought the biggest announcement from RED was the EPIC!!..

Your starting to scare me...

I may hold just hold back on that new EPIC order until I know what comes out in the wash 3 NOV..

I'm excited and scared at the same time...

This NEW canon CINE camera has been seen out in the wilds of LA testing a couple of times... I'm sure Jim you have a pretty good idea whats coming from them.

Needles to say, Im more than happy with my EPIC.

Jim, thanks for MODULARITY... attaching my first module was truly a religious experience... how far you have come since posting RENDERS is just incredible

the fact that this is old news to you guys and you are innovating even more is MIND BOGGLING really...

All I need after this EPIC and its modules is RED RAY and the RED LASER PROJECTOR... and Im good until im long dead

thank you so much for these incredible tools, regardless of what Canon does. Outsider or not, the EPIC is an OSCAR winner hands down.

Or maybe there's more than Scarlet being announced on Nov 3rd?

That's what I feel. I think it involves the words "new sensor" and "Epic upgrade".

That is the number after the recompilation of reduser. The real number is closer to 30,000. Nov. 2009.

Jim

Got it. I guessing 16 thousand reprent folks who show up with a nametag on and not those nameless folks peeking through the curtains. :)

A streaming web cam from the theater at REDstufios would be a nice addition.
