My 2 cents...

First come first serve. In reality I've been waiting and on ScarletUser for 3 or more years. I've been here as a lurker about the same amount of time and signed up mid-summer. Some may agree but I don't even think Epic/R1 owners should get a window before us. Why? They have R1's and Epics, and get an insanely good deal from RED with the trade in and buying stages of Epic X. Sure they've shown there support, but it's something that those waiting for the Scarlet couldn't really afford to do. I don't have 17-58 grand to spend.

There are new faces, old faces, current customers, new customers and artists all waiting for this. Everyone should get the same shot. The only thing I will say is that if any of us have said or done anything showing a bad attitude, myself included at any points, RED should be able to choose to move you around in the queue at there discretion. I'm pretty sure there are some already on the list.

I'm going to be doing the same as many, preparing myself as best as possible to get my order in as fast as I can. Although based on the info we'll receive I might even take some time to think if I can't square everything a way and figure out what I want in an hour. If they give us news on Epic S and it's down the line I might even sit tight. I realize I may be in a longer wait, and I want to be ready to go as fast as I can, but there is only so much I can do. I don't want to make a rushed decision unless I know for sure that is the camera I want. Part of the reason I'll probably move fast.... It's all upgradeable

I Pm'd Zac about the extra media as you recommended (thanks for that) but was too slow and got pipped.
But I didn't mind at all, as without knowing packages and the like, my instincts have just keep telling me to be patient.

A great challenge, as Scarlet is heavily preoccupying my thoughts, and clearly those of many others... Clearly it's deeply attached to everyones ideas regarding their own personal creative empowerment and dreams...
