  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Not that "I" need the proxies...

The Resolve workflow is so good including the HDR support and I forgot about proxies period. But clients were asking if they can work with the proxies editing and made me think.
Are the proxies working with Epic-M?

I traditionally use Clipfinder to spit out a quick Shot Report to track all my files through to post. The thumbnails in these reports are based on the QT proxy files. I would love to see proxies back into the Epic file folders specifically for this reason.

The Epic footage proxies generated by REDCINE-X are nothing but solid gray.

Ok, that makes sense in this case. It may just be a feature that isn't enabled at the moment, like 3K formats etc...

The kipro mini now works with the epic and preserves the filename and timecode. This may be the best way to go.
Also, can't you generate proxies easily in redcine-x?

How does kipro mini gets the filename? Via ethernet?

I want to buy Sound Device PIX240 instead, because it adds better mic input circuitries.

Thanks Shane,

AJA has a terrible distributor for Japan so I wouldn't buy it here, maybe consider to get it directly from U.S..

Automatic Record on/off is nice, too

I am also interested in the Sound Device PIX240, because it can record Avid DNXHD, as well as Prores.
