Am i right? there is not even one epic stage 3 shipped yet?

Is stage 4 scheduled to ship concurrently with stage 3? Also is stage 2 wrapped up?

Stage 2 wrapped. Yes, they will send out stage 4s amongst stage 3 as the bottleneck is not cameras, it's the evaluation process involved with taking Red Ones back.

Thanks Jim, is stage 4 weighted to shipped when the majority of stage 3 cameras have shipped?

I have my stage 3 camera. The only problem is that it is unusable due to the lack of touch-screens, redmotes, and side handles. I can turn on the camera and look at an image, but i can't format my media to record or adjust any settings. My frustration trumps yours.

Michael, tell me about it... to stare at the Epic on a shelf is tough! It sucks that we've paid for the camera and still can't make money with it! I was lucky to have BORROWED an LCD from someone who had that but nothing else (yet)! Fingers crossed, I'm sure they are working on it!

kinda upsetting considering there are 1000 or so scarlets...just saying!!!

yes indeed, that shows me that with red its the same like it is with any company, the goal is to make money, no matter what they promised before.

Got my Stage 3 Epic on Tuesday this week. I was Red #1228. So yes, process is in full effect!

Alex

Russ - I believe the Epic will recognize your old RED LCD - although you might need to get a different cable. Check the RED Store online and look at the cables. There seem to be some new ones available, so I'd check the information associated with the various cables to see what the scoop is...

Given the rate of emails getting sent out for stage 3, things seem to be moving along. I think the majority of stage 3 owners are sending in their R1s, so I think it's going to be a good few weeks before we see any stage 4 cameras release.

:)

Glad that Stage 3 shipping has started. It took me almost three weeks to have all the parts for my Scarlet. I got the Redmote today and that completes my order(touchscreen, redmote and sidehandle). Pls. look me up when you are in LA.

Its not recommended I don't think, but I'm pretty sure that you should be able to format the ssd to FAT32 with disk utility and shoot. I'm surprised it doesn't come pre formatted...

HOW DO YOU KNOW ALL THIS ??? WE HAVE 8 STAGE 3"s AND HAVE NOT RECIEVED ANY NOTICES...Not personal but writing like you have inside information adds to the annoyance of the situation and doesnt help it!

Hey mike, if you have a paid job, I have a side handle for rent. :)

Rented my Touch Screen to a Stage 2 guy going to New Zealand for a month... Still shooting with my Scarlet, Side handle and 5.6 LCD. Not trying to rub it in, even though it kind of sounds like it. Let me know if you need it. also have a TI Canon mount.
