  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

My original idea of just hanging out with other Red Users in the community always stands. Even if you'd like to drop by my studio for a day and and just chat I'd definitely be down. If we have events I'll be sure to post the latest event info here in the very first post so it's always easy to find.

That being said, here is the info on our latest Red User Meetup! It'll be a bit more formal with Nick Hayes from Red coming to demo and give workshops (along with some other companies). But there will definitely be time to just hang out relax, and network.




Was wondering if any of you Red owners in the bay area would be interested for a meet up? Would love to talk shop, and see who else in the area shoots RED. I used to run the OC group, but have moved back to the bay. They were pretty fun and would like to start it up again. We could have it chill, have people meet, bbq, and talk shop, or if you want I can make it more formal and maybe have a demo of tech.

There was an "official" Red meet-up group already set up that was looking for a new moderator. Had about 60+ members IIRC. I looked into taking over mod duties but since I am no longer in SF (now in Marin) and it was $10/mo, I passed.

Anyway, would definitely love to commune with other REDfolk.

Awesome. Yea I saw that the older one had fallen off a bit, plus we shouldn't have to pay to just hang out and talk some shop.
I know our schedules can be a bit unpredictable and hectic, but mine is looking pretty free (for now) till mid August.
What days/times are good for you guys?

I'm down. Next week or two is pretty open for me too. Justen, I don't know if you recall, but we met briefly when me and my college Lawrence visited Mac House a while back (sometime last year?)

yes I remember you and Lawrence. I think maybe if anyone is interested I can start an email thread. Might be a bit faster than waiting for everyone to check the thread. I will however keep the top post updated as to when and where meetings will occur. Cause I found that definitely came in handy. Anyhow shoot me an email guys and I'll start to putting this thing together.

Sorry for the radio silence. I got into contact with one of the gents who used to run the old SF meet up and am working on getting some tech demo'd for the first meetup. planning on a meet about 3 weeks from now give or take.

Hey Paul! and Everyone else.

Yes its been quite a while since I first Posted the idea. And I actually tried out some other formats of meetups differing from what I used to do when I ran the Orange County Reduser.
They werent solely Red oriented so I didn't feel comfortable posting them here. However!

I'm happy to announce however that I am reviving the Red Meet up this month on June 16th! Nick Hayes from Red will be coming up to give demos and hands on demonstrations with the lastest weapons, etc.
Everyone is welcomed to drop by. Please RSVP so we are able to get an accurate count of how many people we'll expect.



We'll have a few other comapnies there as well demoing their products. Hope to see you guys there. This has definitely been long over due.
