NOISY FAN??

Hi,
We have 2 RED one units. One of the units fan are making 'tooooo' much noise in Standard mode ,quite mode,silent and Hot mode . It is not making noise in Auto mode.(maybe it will once the camera gets hot)...What could be the reason?

hello,
also it may be not the worst decition to call red, if it really crashes your shooting.

I had the same "problem" myself, while shooting with two reds once, somehow it came up after one of them was in service for a cleaning and repairing the cooler inside the body, maybe there have been two cable positions got wrong, just like when you did something wrong with pc-coolers (just guessing).

We had the exact same problem... & we cleaned the fan/cooling area and it solved our problem... basically the fan has collected a lot of dust & it needs to be cleaned...
