[FS: RED Cameras] NO SUPPORT FOR "OLD" MX CAMERAS ?…

Hello dear Redusers,

I am located in Europe (France) and I want to return to a Red equipment, with a limited budget and therefore to a Scarlet MX.

But I just learned late that Red no longer ensures the maintenance of MX cameras ... Even a paid repair? ...

If that's the case, then I will not be able to take any chances for my next shoot ... and I will have no choice but to go to another brand ...

I believe this is only for the Mysterium Sensors both Scarlet and Epic. All the other DSMC1 bodies are still supported. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

But il would be strange from Red if they stops all services’ tests and repair for old Mx caméras...

I thought the status of service is that Red still has many parts and such for the MX but is not promising they will be able to fix everything...

I have the answer from Red:

Hello Christophe,
At the moment RED will not be able to guarantee repairs parts for MYSTERIUM and MYSTERIUM-X cameras after 9/28/2017. Please see Jarred's post for information confirming that we are no longer manufacturing repair parts for these camera types. You are still able to send your camera in for service and RED will try to complete a repair to the best of our ability however we cannot guarantee repairs for this camera type at this time. Please let me know if you have any questions.
