Hello I recently set up a new edit suite with a Mac Pro, Mavericks, and RCX Pro 30.
However when in export settings on RCX I am given only a small handful of options for Quicktime (virtually none), Apple ProRes not being one of them.
On my older computer I've been using RCX Pro 22 and there are countless Quicktime options.
I tried looking thru RCX 30 for some options and I did some searching online as well but didn't find this issue anywhere else.
Is there something simple that I am missing?

The interface on RXC 30 is virtually the same as 22 when setting up custom export settings, so I'm a bit confused as to what it could be.

Thanks so much.

Also try installing Davinci Resolve LT, along with the QT Codec Update from Apple.

Thanks so much guys.
I did install Quicktime Pro and it didn't resolve anything.
I couldn't install the QT ProApps codec- on apple.com the download link takes me to a support not found page.
This appears to be a Mavericks issue.
So I did some research and there are several forum threads warning about Mavericks / Proapps 1.0.4 and how it crashes Adobe programs, specifically AE and Premiere.
I'm concerned because I use both of these. Not really sure what to do. I will investigate in the morning.

I downloaded v.1.0.5 as well as the newest Compressor and everything is great now, thanks so much!!!

I had this same problem until I installed Final Cut X onto my new Macpro with Mavericks, so it really is about getting ProApps on the machine, one way or another. On the old machines, it was just a matter of installing QT Pro to unlock the codecs for editing.

They may be forcing a purchase to access ProApps? I'm not sure. But this page says for users of FCPX, Motion 5, or Compressor 4. You could just buy Compressor - it's only $50. Seems a little snaky, if this is the case, but....

I'm just guessing here, but FCPX was the pathway that got it working for me on my new machine.

***never mind, Greg, looks like you solved it.

Its not an option to Transcode Prores on my mac through RedCine X.
I have the conpressor and Final CuT X installed.

Funny that media encoder is transcoding prores.
whats wrong?

Redcine calls it Quicktime on the first export menu...you probably already know that but if not that could be your problem. Once you choose QT you can access the specific codec under "video".
