  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Don't know where to start aside from sending it back. There were no firmware changes, they just stopped working. Anyone else had this problem and fixed it without sending ti back to RED?

Did you try to re-install the the firmware even though nothing changed? That's usually my go to fix and it usually works.
 
Just send a note off to the operator to see if he tried that, if not, I'll post the results once it's done, thanks.

Everything mentioned above has been tried and more. Still no luck. The camera records but you just can't see anything or control the camera without the lcd. The camera is booked to go out tomorrow and we have no backup. Any hail mary ideas would be appreciated.

Agree with Jeff, this sounds like an issue with the 14 pin monitor port on the side SSD module. In our case reseating didn't sort us out and the camera had to go to RED for service, sorry, I know that's not what you want to hear. I'll keep my fingers crossed that pulling the side module, perhaps blowing some air over the contacts and inspecting the mating surfaces will get you back up.

Well we tried all of the ideas posted and still no picture on either monitor. Unless anyone else has an idea we will have to send it back to Red.

What firmware are you running? Do you have any modules attached to the back of the camera?
