Has anyone else had problems getting any audio when using batteries. If I use AC power the audio is strong. As soon as I power down the camera and switch to battery there is no audio. I have not changed anything else in the settings.

I am using Wooden Camera's A-Box, Cinema-Oxide battery plate and Global Media Pro Li190S batteries.

Thanks for the wisdom.

Not yet but I will give it a try and report back.

I just tried it and audio works with the REDVOLTs.

So is this a problem with the Global Media batteries? Has anyone else had a problem recording audio while using the GMPs?

No problem for me with my GMP batteries. Audio works well. Must be something else, maybe the lemo connection?

Do you have a battery plate that displays the voltage on the LCD? Which battery plate do you use?

Working fine for me with the old Red One belt pack, Red V-Locks and the little adapter cable for the Epic. Also using A-Box and have had no trouble with audio.

Yep - we have exactly the same issue with Scarlet, A-Box and GMP 160s batteries on a VF APU - sometimes the audio won't work after turning on. Usually solved by unplugging either the ABox or the lemo for the power - restarting and - then plugging back in - not sure exact combination causes/fixes issue as only happens from time to time. Wiht this same combo sometimes the camera will show no reading for the voltage on the GMP 160s - even though they are fully charged. Everyhting still works fine - just no voltage shown. No problem iof the Abox is not connected - no problems with REdvolts in the side handle - just a few issues from time to time when the Abox andf the GMP 160s are connected at the same time...

Sometimes it's just a matter of unplugging the 1/8" cable in either of the front audio inputs and plugging it back in. Happens on mine regularly.

O YEA The camera works on ac Great Audio but on Batts it does not.
do you have a B BOB or a poorly wired v mount. Cliff

It might be a poorly wired V-Mount. It was an early model and the manufacturer said I could send it back if there were problems. I will contact them today about a replacement since it does not send the voltage readout to the camera as it should anyway.

Simply unplugging does not seem to fix it but I will try a few things with powering down and unplugging the A-Box.

This kind of sucks when you are on a shoot and have to shut down a few times just to get audio working.

Thanks for all the responses.

+1 on the unplugging the 1/8 mini connectors. My Epic with an A-box did the same thing when powering down periodically, I sent it into Red and the situation is fixed.

Hi guys, I have a similar problem...

Thanks!!

Mine too.

I just got in the habit of looking at the level meters every time I power on, and sometimes I have to unplug/replug the 1/8 audio jacks.

Doesn't work at all for me :( I tried to unplug/replug 20 times, didn't chance anything unfortunately...
