Hi all,

Been converting R3Ds to QuickTime 422HQ in RCX and even though I have channel 1 ticked and enabled in RCX, there is no sound coming through in the output 1080 file........what am I missing? Have tried 3 different versions of RCX with the same result.

Try to view the ProRes file in QT 7 pro.
Command - J to go to properties
Select Soundtrack and the Audio Settings Tab.
At this point play with the Channel 1 and 2 settings.
If you select mono you may find that the audio is there.
It's been a while but I remember going through this problem in the past.

You need to make sure audio is enabled in the export preset and the correct audio channels are selected. Are you trying to export external audio or cam audio?

Thanks for the reply Dwain and David,
Have already been trying all you're suggesting with no luck.
David - I'm trying to export camera audio

Ok, send me some log files to recinex at red dot com. Please make sure verbose logging is enabled. There will be two relevant log files, and you can find them under
/Users/{Your User Name}/Library/Application Support/red/RedCineX/Logs/. There will be an "RCX" log file and a "redexport" log file corresponding to the particular export you just ran. If you're unsure, just clear the Logs directory first before running RCX.

Thanks,
David
