  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

No 21

We had the kit for $1500 and the body for $850. But of course, market pressures come to bear when negotiating.

The more I think about it, the cooler that would be. As Jason menioned above, it would be pretty easy with just metadeta editing...

I'm hedging my bets on this...no money, just satisfaction.

What do you think nos 21 is ?

I was just thinking. Manual or autofocus on a small 2.8" LCD is not that easy to see. Yes there is a 5" and 7" LCD but... could it be an option to see on the LCD only the part that is focused in color. The part of the image that is out of focus is not in color.
I was just thinking...

There are aftermarket LCD's that have false color focus assist modes. It is also part of Red 1's features, so will likely be on the new cams too.

Ok, I didn't know that. Thanks.

Surely, Scarlet will have some kind of peaking / false color focus assist. #21 has to be something unprecedented.

Well, it better be something sensational and unprecedented!

HDR seems to be a common expectation. Remember, Jim did once create a "HDR Mode" thread, and since then we haven't heard anything about it. It might be possible to do some kind of motion bracketing, taking 3-4 frames in very quick succession at different exposures to create 1 HDR 24fps frame. The Scarlet can take over 6 frames in 1/24th of a second in burst, after all. Though this won't be much use if there's a lot of motion or shutter speed is not high.

21 is usually enough beers for me to become a itsy bitsy tipsy ;-) :cheers2:
