  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NiSi working on T1.1 35mm, 55, 75mm und 100mm full-frame Cine lenses

These T1.1 lenses are already E mount so you're asking to Speedboost E mount to E mount.

Nisi has another line that is PL/EF but they're a T2. You could Speedboost those.

Ah, now I understand. I'll have to stick with speedboosting the Sigma cine T1.5's. That is possible, right?

Color performance looks really good.

Would you say this is apochromatic ? Or nearly apochromatic ?

Actually, it is just a prototype, we even have no time to assemble the aperture.

If you wanna use the T1.1 lens in RED, maybe we can make a Leica M-mount edition.

And as you know, shorter flange distance provide more possibilities in optical designs. But I Guess 1st AC maybe don't like the T1.1 lens :(

So if you have any thoughts to share about NiSi F3 Prime or New T1.1 series, We are glad to hear and happy to discuss that .

When your on RED you have a couple of options: Abt delivers Canon EF and PL and optitek a whole bunch of other mounts.
Happy focus pulling at T1.1(f1).

Wow ! I can't wait too see such lenses. Add a 24mm T1.1, make the performance WO at least decent and make the kit very affordable and I think I will be one of your early client !

The 100mm will be massive. I own a 110mm f/0.95 that covers full frame and you could easily fit a Red body inside the housing.

He didn't have Gemini.

You don't even need a Gemini to make that argument. Barry Lyndon was keyed at about 3 footcandles according to an ASC article I read. You can get that with 800 ISO and T1.4, which has been achievable for a long while, now. Gemini at 3200 is two stops beyond that. Almost another stop could be had with these T1.1 lenses. 3 stops beyond Kubrick.

I say we shouldn't stop until I have bust out the neg-fill outdoors at night. :)

Yep, forget about image difference between T1 and T2. Just dial ISO up and up...
