NiSi F3 set covers full frame 46.5mm format sensors

So Nisi and Kinifinity bring the same lenses to the market for the same price and they have an image circle of at least 46.5 mm.
The lenses come with a PL, EF and Sony E mount that are user changeable.
25 mm T2.1, 35 mm T2, 50 mm T2, 75 mm T2, 100 mm T2 and 18 mm T? on the way.

Price around $ 2.500 each and $ 12.000 for a set of 5.

It's a good time looking for cine lenses these days.

Saw these lenses in person. They are surprisingly nice for that price point. I was impressed.

I've they're successful (which I bet they will be) then I'm certain in the near future they'll bring out more lenses to round out the set such as a 150mm or 180mm lens.

Is there a connection to these and the Schneider T2 Xenons? I saw some pretty knowledgeable folks on Facebook make hints about this, but I didn't understand what they meant.

(Ie it's all the same focal lengths, T stops, coverage etc.)

Unlikely, the Nisi lenses are said to be apochromatic.

From what i'm reading i'm pretty sure they are the bokkelux lenses. If you go to the old bokkelux website, past the front page, and get up the specs they are basically identical, down to the CF 100mm.

I've not heard anywhere that they are APO though. That would be quite an announcement and i would have thought they would be using that in their marketing if true.

The only APO lenses in reasonable range are the SLR Magic ones (there's a thread about those)

But we'll have to wait for real world footage to see. I don't believe there's anything new on that side out there, you can find bokkelux samples footage which *may* be an indicator (it's nice)

It looks like the "Fat Prime" years are over.

It will be a lot harder for Cooke, Leica, Arri, etc... to sell their lenses for the current high prices.

Xeen tried, Sigma succeeded and there are more to follow.

The standard prime lens kit certainly needs to change with Vistavision. I often use my set of CNEs starting at 24mm through to 85mm. Occasionally I would need a wider focal length but was happy with the long end for a typical shoot. Now its the opposite with VV the 24mm is all the wide I need but the 85mm feels only like a longish medium focal length. Not an oversupply of fast 100mm or 110mm primes at the low end and thats why I will look closely at the NISI 100mm when its available. The new Tokina 100mm also looks good but it will need to prove itself to warrant the extra cost.

Is there any footage of these in the wild? Would love to see some shooting from them and how much they breath. I wonder if they intend to setup service support in China? Im in Oz so much closer then the US. Plus my wife is from China originally so can alwaya go on a family trip

Going to be interesting to see how they perform against the canons and sigma cine lenses. The tokinas I would love but are double the price in some instances so Id imagine they are in another league optically
