I was cleaning out the loft of the television studio that I work for and I came across this.

Nikon TV Zoom ED* 12.5-70mm f1.5

My manager gave me the lens, said he had no use for it.

I have been trying to track down information about the lens, even called Nikon but they had no record of it in their database. It appears to be in excellent condition. No fungus or scratches. All the gears rotate smoothly.

The lens is quite large and really heavy. Probably a bit larger than the RED 18-85.

Thank you.

Ya that is what I was thinking. Does anyone know who does B4 mount lens projection?

If it is that large for its focal lengths, it may be made for 1" or 1.25" vidicon or plumbicon cameras. If so it would cover at least 3k on an S35 model

Have you seen the 18-85? This Nikon is a baby compared to it.

I am looking at the mount again and you know what this isn't a standard 2/3" B4 mount it's larger.

Do stadium lenses have a larger b4 mount? The rear element is bigger in diameter than one you would see a on a broadcast lens. And physically the 3 "leaves" I guess it is bigger too. Does anyone have an idea what I have here?
