Anyone knows if there is an upcoming firmware update for the red nikon mount to support the new lenses with Electromagnetic Diaphram such as all the latest sigma art (85,135,14, ...)? Or maybe a new version of the mount is needed?
When you mount one of those new lenses, the iris info on the screen says N/A so they are completely unsable.
I shoot on nikon since more than 10 yeras, so that would be a blame to sell everything to buy the canon version of my lenses.

Actually Lorenzo have a point indeed...

Nikon have this cool feature on new lenses where the aperture is magnetically controlled and this leads to not having "steps" so it could be REALLY smooth in theory...

If this is possible on DSMC2 is yet to be seen and I think he is simply asking to try to support this feature or at least give him control on some of the new lenses which have this feature, some newer Sigma lenses included.

Yes, it would be cool to be able to use those new lenses with the nikon mount.
Right now you can't control the iris at all and you can just use them wide open.
