Nikon D3s with 1080p rumored

a nikon camera release never seems that exciting anymore. video wise, canon just has the upper hand. nikon has never had a dedicated video department. canon has the resources of those departments that have worked on a great deal of digital video cameras to help them with a lot of issues VDSLR's typically have. Panasonic is on the reverse end with the gh1 making good to very good video, but the still just lack. canon literally has the resources of the best of both worlds and they listen. the cameras get so much better by ever release.

even if the nikon d3s has lots of bells and whistles i honestly think canon will come out with something right after that destroys it in the long run.

I have remained hopeful about Nikon for these very reasons - they don't have to unlearn any video habits - but looks like they won't make the required logic jump. Shame really. I'm a long time Nikon man but between the 5DMk2 and the Birger mount, I'm afraid Canon looms large in my future.
