in short a little thought ..

1. When filming quality advertising there is money and then everything works well, with a lot of light on the set, hanging around the car and then post production) this to be a quality product.

2. Sometimes if you want to have clean movies at high iso I recommend a C300. If this is your job.

3. Why all filming with Alexa? be a good camera and his "luck" is working in ProRes and so many users prefer the workflow.
All I can open movies with portable 7 years ago. This thing has facilitated much.
In fact it is much more rare to find people who film in RAW with Arri.(I'm not talking about cinema)
While the workflow with RED raw for many is more complicated, open REDCINE-x or Davinci or other software for many people is very complicated.
But all things have pros and cons, just choose what you want.
In this forum just search and find all the information.

4. Try to hire a ALexa and a Dragon, you do some testing, this being the only way to really understand what you want.
There will always be those who prefer Arri and those who prefer RED.

5. Your movie to be under exposed with a 16mm lens with aperture 2.8 at night under a warm light, almost in a situation quite critical for this sensor. Using a lens 1.8F would have been better. But it depends on the depth of field that you want ..

It always depends on your end result and where you want to push you, in this case you have to work to denoise, but nothing is impossible.

Phil or David or Gunleik or other people here will help you to better understand what can do;)

good luck

this is fast denoise 5000 iso

1) Lighting the car is usually the main tactic for proper exposure.

2) Filming a night shot in a downtown area with plenty of natural light, aka street lights, building lights, signs, etc. If you're shooting out in the rural countryside, you're going to need to light if you even want to see anything.

3) Cheating a night shot during Magic hour and doing work in post to further darken the sky. Magic hour still gives a decent exposure without the need for lighting if that's how you want to accomplish it.

4) Use faster lenses. This is kind of obvious.

5) Post work is incredibly heavy on car commercials. Lots of post cleanup, noise reduction, power windows, and tweaks are done to make the cars look their best. Don't underestimate how much goes into it.

6) Shoot day for night. Sometimes footage is shot during daytime and visual effects is used to replace the sky with a night scene and stars and the color correction makes it look like night. This is also used on occasion.

The main thing is to shoot in a brighter area if you don't have the means to light. Car commercials tend to have massive budgets and can afford to shut down streets and put lights up all over. Post work is always fairly intensive as well. Camera is honestly the least of your concerns. If you can't do it with a RED, chances are it doesn't matter what camera you use. The job of the DP is to give life to a blank image, whether that means lighting, shaping light, using various exposure strategies, camera techniques, whatever. If all you want to do is drive around in your car and try to make a car commercial, chances are you will get no where close to the real deal because in reality, a lot of work goes into the final product you see on tv. It really is a lot of work and effort... Lots of car commercials have been shot on RED. I'd argue only 50-60 percent are shot on Alexa..

Your shot is about 4-5 stops underexposed so you're not going to get noise free results. The truth is you need more light for this kind of a shot. Try shooting it in an area that is bright to begin with, usually in the city. Try to get faster lenses if you can. t1.8 or t1.4 will benefit you greatly.
