  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Nice monitor from Eizo

If it was really *that* much better than an Apple 23" Cinema Display, you could always use the BlackMagic HDLink for on-set 1080p into this.

A lot of photographers use Eizo monitors for their accurate colors. Not sure how they'll work with video, though. But looks like they have RGB inputs.

Hi Zeke,

I've got one since six month and I am very happy with it. You can calibrate it easily with their calibration package. The blacks are much deeper than on a Apple 23" or Dell 24" (got them too) and the colour rendition is also better IMHO. It's not a CRT yet but very close. I use it for colour critical applications and I am happy with this monitor.

For its performance it's a bargain.

I use it for the last 5 months and can tell you that it is 100% as advertised. I also have seen it next to an Apple Cinema Display at a post production house and the difference in image quality was more than obvious.
I think it's the best LCD monitor for color correction. Try to find a demo and you will immediately understand why.

I would be curious how it compares to Cinemage from Cinetal, Cinemage is damn close to CRT in my experience. Cinemage gave dual link option and 3D LUT

Thanks for the responses. Hopefully it will still be on sale in Oct. Now if we can figure out how to get a lut from RedCine into it....
